Kyler's First Christmas

Although he won't remember it, Kai had a great first Christmas. AJ had a wonderful two-week vacation so we got to spend lots of time as a family and, although we did lots of driving, it wasn't so hectic because we had some time off to wind down afterward.

Kai got to open lots of toys - some he's loving already and some that he can enjoy as he gets a bit older. It was fun for us to show him off to lots of different friends and family and he was surprisingly happy and calm despite the craziness and having his schedule thrown off.

One of the fun gifts was a racetrack that Toomas and Rita got for Kyler, but they taped his face over all of the baby photos on the box. We didn't even notice at first, we just thought the baby looked amazingly like Kai.

I'm definitely looking forward to future Christmases when Kai will be excited for gifts and putting up the tree and putting out milk and cookies and all of that, but this Christmas was a good start!

Eventually this dump truck will be used to carry things. For now, a chew toy.

That's a big present.

Sandra knit an elephant!

And a scarf!

Aunt Gretyl and Uncle Brett teach Kai how to Skype.

Scraps and Kai

That's an even bigger present.

An elephant, now a giant giraffe.
