It's our last week of time off together, so despite the colder weather, we decided to take a day and head up to the cottage. AJ took his paddleboard out on the water, so I put Kai in the backpack to go for a walk along the beach.
It was a beautiful, calm walk, just Kai, myself and Snax. I really enjoyed having Kai in the backpack, nice and clothes, talking away and grabbing onto my arms every once in a while. I guess the motion plus the sound of waves was pretty calming for Kai too, because he was asleep within about 15 minutes.
We took another short walk later in the afternoon so AJ could try out the backpack as well. After a bit of a tough morning, it turned out to be a great day.
